Walsall Council is inviting visitors to celebrate bonfire season with three traditional community bonfire and fireworks events across the borough.
Alongside a traditional bonfire, spectacular fireworks displays set to music will burst across the sky and families can enjoy fun fair rides and food and drink at the family friendly events.
Admission to all of the events is by advance tickets only. No tickets will be available on the gates. Visitors are asked to arrive early to the events to ensure tickets can be scanned and bags can be checked prior to entering the parks.
Councillor Gary Flint, Portfolio Holder for Public Health, said:
“Our bonfire events are very popular with families in and around Walsall. As a result of the pandemic, the last events were held in 2019 and we know they have been sorely missed. Advance ticket admission makes our events easier to access on the night and helps us to keep our focus on providing a safe, family friendly and fun evening for all. It’s a great opportunity for people to enjoy their local parks and see some truly fantastic firework displays.”
Events will be taking place in King George V Playing Fields on Friday 4 November, Walsall Arboretum on Saturday 5 November and in Willenhall Memorial Park on Sunday 6 November.
Councillor Flint added:
“I’m pleased to confirm that we’ve held the 2019 prices and also have an early bird offer for families who purchase tickets by 21 October.
“By introducing a requirement for tickets to be purchased in advance and removing parking charges, visitors should see a marked reduction in queueing times.
“With family tickets for all three events at the early bird price of £18, this represents excellent value for money for a great family night out.”
