Doctor Who-themed fun as new facilities open at Langley Library

Families enjoyed a Doctor Who-themed event at Langley Library following the official opening of new facilities for people with disabilities.

People brought picnics and fun and games were held on the green space outside the library in Barrs Street.

During the event, children also learned how to code and play with Cod-a-Pillars.

The Doctor Who theme for the picnic was chosen because all Sandwell libraries are currently promoting the ‘Space Chase’ Summer Reading Challenge 2019.

Before the picnic, the library’s new disabled toilet and car park – which has disabled spaces – were officially opened. The ribbon was cut by Alderman Martin Prestidge, the chair of the Friends of Langley Library.
