Couples looking for the perfect venue for their wedding are invited to an open day at Stourbridge’s Thomas Robinson building.
Now one of Dudley borough’s register offices after a recent renovation, the former Lye and Wollescote Chapels host the open day to give would-be brides and grooms the chance to find out what’s on offer.
Dudley Registrars are organising the event on Saturday October 5 from 10am to 3pm to allow couples to look around the building.
On the day there will be some demonstration marriages and bridal fashion shows, as well as the chance to enter a prize draw to win a free wedding.
There will also be exhibitors for ceremony cars, flowers and photographers and even a bona fide chimney sweep – said to bring luck by attending on the big day – on hand to meet couples.
The venue’s Wollescote Suite, which features much of the former chapel’s original Gothic architecture, can hold marriage parties in the region of 60 people.
