Christmas weekend at the cones

Both venues will be opening their doors from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November.

The Red House Cone will be offering visits to Santa and Mrs Claus, open studios with the cone’s resident studio artists, glass making demonstrations and glass fusing sessions at £6 per person – advance booking required on 01384 815571.

Visitors will also be able to look around the Christmas Tree Festival, with around 40 Christmas trees dotted around the site. Groups, businesses, charities and individuals have all provided uniquely decorated trees for the display, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and Black Country, the Mayor of Dudley’s chosen charities, in the process.

The White House Glass Cone will be hosting its annual Christmas craft market over the weekend with craft stalls, refreshments, a choir and the chance to decorate a glass bauble.

The annual Christmas Weekend is always popular, with hundreds of people flocking to both sites to make the most of everything on offer.

There’ll be entertainment, craft stalls, Mrs and Mrs Claus and the chance to try your hand at glass fusing or decorating a bauble. It should be lots of fun.

The Red House Cone’s opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4pm and admission is free. This year the site will be open until 7pm for on Friday 29 November with the chance to see the Christmas trees illuminated in the dark, enjoy refreshments and take part in some simple family craft activities.

The Christmas tree festival runs from 17 November to 5 January. The cone will be closed 24 December until 3 January 2020.
