Lockdown conditions have brought the best out in many organisations, with Walsall Council being inundated with offers of support from local businesses.
Instead of closing, they are offering their staff, stock and fleets to support efforts to care for vulnerable residents.
Donations of food, equipment and food parcel delivery are amongst some of the generous donations being offered by our local companies in the face of extremely difficult and uncertain futures for many of them.
Amongst the businesses offering support are Index Courier Networks Ltd based in Willenhall, who have offered support of their fleet network to deliver to those in need including the NHS or other sectors in need. Birmingham based ISL Ltd have also offered their support with waste disposal at critical sites including care homes within the Walsall area.
The government has put in place a package of measures to aid small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, including grants, loans and business rate schemes. Details of all these schemes are available on our website, and our employment team are available to answer questions and queries.
