Christmas is just around the corner and people in Sandwell can get in the festive spirit with a series of community events across the six towns.
Sandwell Council is making sure town centres are looking Christmassy and is working together with community organisations to put on a number of Christmas lights celebrations.
Events are as follows:
Friday 15 November 2019
Oldbury Town Centre

Event runs 4pm to 7pm; lights switch-on at 6.30pm
Organised by Krunch UK
Activities: Lots of family fun, Santa’s grotto, refreshments, children’s rides, stilt walkers, fire eaters, live music, a living nativity provided by Bethel Church, Oldbury, plus market stalls and much more

Event runs 4pm to 7.30pm; lights switch-on at 5pm
Organised by Open Heaven Church
Activities: Special live performances by superheroes Spider-Man and Violet Parr, singing by a character from Frozen, plus Fortnite dance-along and superhero training, choir performances by Mesty Croft Academy, Park Hill Primary School and Tameside Primary Academy, Santa’s Grotto, fair rides, market stalls, arts and crafts, refreshments.
