Five stars and a special guest served for Wolverhampton dessert shop Breadcrumb

Heavenly Desserts received a visit from the Mayor of Wolverhampton this week shortly after achieving top marks for food hygiene.

City of Wolverhampton Council’s food safety team inspected Heavenly Desserts’ Wolverhampton branch, based on Darlington Street, and awarded the business with a food hygiene rating of 5.

Following this achievement, the Mayor of Wolverhampton popped in to try one of their signature creations.

Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Claire Darke said: “I ordered the house special – waffles, strawberries, ice-cream and chocolate sauce. It was a generous portion and it was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and great coffee to wash it down.

“For anyone with a sweet tooth – I highly recommend popping in to Heavenly Desserts, I can certainly see where they got their name from. Heavenly indeed! I will definitely be returning.”

Faye Pearson, food safety officer at City of Wolverhampton Council said: “Food hygiene is so important and often gets over looked.

“Last year, we launched our bespoke consultancy service Trade with Confidence to help all businesses achieve the best food hygiene rating possible.

“Achieving a food hygiene rating of 5, fills customers with reassurance that they’re eating in clean and safe environment to the highest standard as well as the business genuinely caring about its customers.

“I would like to congratulate Heavenly Desserts and the many businesses who continue to achieve such high ratings.
