aya Malaysian Chinese Restaurant in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire announces a traditional Chinese Lion Dance will be performing for their dinner guests at 8.30pm on Friday 31 January 2020 to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Rat followed by a disco and discounted drinks.
“It’s an evening of celebration. Chinese New Year is a big celebration in the East and the Lion Dance is believed to bring good luck in the new year” said Joey Liew, one of the owners.

Whilst the traditional Chinese Lion Dance is rarely seen in Chalfont St Giles, in South East Asia, the acrobatic, cheeky Chinese Lion Dance will visit restaurants and perform in the streets at Chinese New Year not just to entertain but to bring good luck and prosperity for the upcoming year to everyone it meets.
Chinese New Year falls on 25 January this year, the 25th day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese Calendar and will traditionally be celebrated for the first 15 days of the lunar month to mark the transition of the Year of the Pig to the Year of the Rat.
Joey Liew announces that on Friday 31 January 2020, a Chinese Lion Dance will visit Kaya Restaurant at 36 London Road, Chalfont St Giles, HP8 4NJ at 8.30pm and perform for their dinner guests after which the dance floor will be open for guests to dance the night away to popular music played by a professional DJ.
