On Friday 12th July, me and my colleague were invited to attend the Laura Ashley Tea Room, located at the Regency Hotel, Solihull.
Upon arrival, guests are quickly allocated to their seats and are given a warm introduction regarding the tea room, including the dietary requirements available and what’s included in the afternoon tea.
Guests can choose from a Vegetarian, Vegan or gluten-free option. I opted for the vegetarian afternoon tea, while my colleague chose the vegan option.
We received a complimentary appetiser of tomato and roasted vegetable and cream cheese and caramelised onion tart.
The afternoon tea was brought out in elegant teapots, and included, a variety of cucumber, cheese, egg mayonnaise, cheddar and sweet onion sandwiches, plain and fruit scones served with clotted cream and jam and a selection of mouth-watering chocolate cakes, tarts and macaroons. I chose a cappuccino with my meal, as I am a coffee lover.
The waiting staff were friendly, and each customer was treated like royalty. The atmosphere was exquisite. The hotel décor was beautifully displayed, with an antique hanging chandelier and a stunning wall display. The room itself was open spaced and clean, and at the table, guests were presented with a fresh linen table cloth and a gorgeous floral centrepiece.
The relaxing atmosphere allowed visitors to peacefully sip their tea while leaving all their worries behind.
The Laura Ashley Tea Room is the perfect place for any tea lovers. If you want to treat yourself or someone special, then I recommend this sophisticated tea room. It’s the perfect place to satisfy your tea cravings!
If you are not a massive tea fan, then you can enjoy with a glass of prosecco on the side.
