A Dudley Council-run care facility, which helps to rehabilitate residents, has been rated good in a recent inspection.
Tiled House in Pensnett, which was established in partnership with the Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group to offer short term recuperation and rehabilitation, was recently visited by Care Quality Commission inspectors, who found the home to be performing good in all areas.
The centre often accommodates people who are well enough to leave hospital, but not quite ready to return home.
During a stay at Tiled House people receive input and support from experienced care teams, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nurses who all offer re-ablement support to help people in achieving their maximum potential for independent living.
During their visit, the inspectors assessed how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led the home was.
They found that “people were safe” and that they “were supported by care staff who had the skills and knowledge to meet their needs.”
They also recognised that “people were supported by care staff that were caring” and “people, relatives and staff were able to share their views with staff and were involved in planning their care.”
