Winter Wonderland RWT Charity Event

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust will be hosting its first winter fairs this December with crafters and fundraisers being sought to boost the festive spirit in aid of RWT charity.

The charity is looking for people to hold a stall at the Winter Wonderland events at New Cross, Cannock Chase and West Park Hospitals – so whether you’re a creative Christmas card maker or an artistic crafter, get in touch.

The events will be held on Friday, 6 December between 1:00pm and 6:00pm, with the Christmas lights being switched on at all three sites at 4:30pm.

Leanne Bood, fundraising coordinator, said: “The festive season can be a mixture of joy and worries for many people, especially for our patients and their families, so we hope our festive fair will bring a little sparkle to people’s lives.

“We also hope this new event will raise money to help provide resources, equipment and the added extras for patients which the NHS cannot fund.

“We are very grateful for any donations to our charity, but it means a lot for our patients and staff to be thought about during the busy Christmas period.

“Whether you can host a craft stall, donate a selection box or pop along to buy a raffle ticket, we’d really appreciate your support.”

There will also be performances from the RWT singers during the event outside the entrance to Zone C at New Cross Hospital and pupils from local schools and the community singing carols.

Those that would like to host a stall will be asked to donate to the charity.

The charity will also be holding a festive outfit day on 20 December that staff or local businesses, schools and groups can take part in.

All the funds raised will help the charity to fund resources, equipment and projects which will benefit patients and their families cared for by The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
