Chya Mustapha, the applicant, wants to convert the current existing shop based on Bradford Street, into the takeaway and eat-in shop he would like.
He is currently in talks with the precinct owners about his proposal but he has been given a boost after Walsall Council planning officers granted permission for the scheme.
In the application, agents Planning Service said: “The Victorian Arcade, which the applicant shop is a part of, is identified as part of the ‘primary shopping area’ in the Walsall Town Centre area action plan.
Mr Mustapha says that opening the new takeaway will provide new job opportunities and more diversity within the area.
