Raag & Rhythm will be holding music classes teaching Asian musical instruments and vocals at the Community Room c/o Shri Pashupatinath Mandir of UK, Park Street, close to Blackheath town centre, on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Raag & Rhythm will be open to everyone in the community aged eight years and above and will provide lessons twice a week. Sessions are £5 per person for each one hour session.
The classes, which started 18 October, are being held with support from a £4,828 grant from the Sandwell Council town grants team.

Councillor Lorraine Ashman, town chair for Rowley Regis, said: “This is a wonderful scheme and classes will be held for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
“This will give individuals the opportunity to increase their musical skills, raise their aspirations and learn about Asian music, culture and heritage.”
Participants will get the chance to use Asian instruments such as harmonium, dholak, tabla and dhol.
